He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewell Brasher and Evie Brasher. He is survived by: his wife Molly; his children, Amy and Jonathan (Melanie); and his grandchildren, Ezekiel and Adeline of Rhode Island.

For much of the ensuing years until retirement in 2006 he was the CEO of the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, a medical quality organization.
