He was predeceased by: his wife Morrow "Aggie" Coward; and his siblings, Jeanie Coward, Roberta "Dink" Gentry, Jim, Leroy and Jack Coward.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Ann Cannon-Dance (Matt Dance) of Mississippi and Rita Fay Green of Muldrow; his grandchildren, Thomas (Wife Andrea David), Randall Waldron, Michael (Ninette Randall), Crystal (Darren Swarner), Michelee (Scott Haddock), Jennifer (Justin Murff) and Kristan (Samuel Roberts); his siblings, Charles Coward of Texas and Shirley Bowder (Ray) of Oklahoma; and his pet Butch.
