She is survived by: her husband Wayne Cook; her daughter Tia; her son-in-law Dustin Schwartz of Frisco, TX; her son John Aaron Cook of Antlers, OK; her sister Shelly; her brother-in-law Rick Ayres of Bryant, AR; her brother Johnny; her sister-in-law Donna Sims of Charleston, AR; and her grandchildren, Emery and Ashton Schwartz of Frisco, TX. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

“I am a dear childhood friend of Shelley when they lived in El Paso, Texas and we have stayed in contact over the years. I never knew Reta personally, but I do know Shelley and I knew how much she loved her sister. Growing up with Shelley I have vivid memories being at her house and how she always talked so lovingly and highly of Reta. I also remember how Shelley and I would play with her old Prom dresses that were hanging in the closet. My deepest love and to the Sims family.”
