With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelson Davis Wakefield (Fort Smith, Arkansas), who passed away on October 20, 2022 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wakefield and Sue Wakefield (Carroll); and his brothers, Scooter, Jerry and Gray.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Wakefield; and his children, Steve Wakefield (Jeri) of Dallas, TX., Dick Wakefield (Jane) of Fayetteville, Julie Wakefield of Fort Smith and Eddie Wakefield (Jeannie) of Alma. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
