It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michele Evans of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Michele shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Michele farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Johnston and DuVal Johnston; and her sister Ellen Johnston Porta of Plano, Texas.. She is survived by: her daughter Elise Danielle (Christopher Hayes) of Norman; her husband Dan; her daughter Lara Evans (Gabriel Strom) of Tulsa; her grandson Graeme Christopher Hayes of Norman; and her siblings, DuVal D. Johnston (Janie) of Fort Smith and Allison Johnston of Plano, Texas.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (22 N 13th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
