It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Elkins (Fort Smith, Arkansas), born in Mulberry, Arkansas, who passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George McGehee and Lula McGehee (Fisher); and her husband Luman Elkins. She is survived by: her children, Gary Elkins (Pat) of Natural Dam, AR, Ina Kelly (Hugh) of Fairfax Station, VA and Pam Cheyne (Tom) of Fort Smith; and her grandchildren, Susie Hobbs (Tim), Angie Davis (John), Jennifer Knowles, Teresa Kelly, Sarah Pond (Caleb) and Ian Cheyne (Leslie). She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
