Margrett Lavern Hargrove Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margrett Lavern Hargrove of Fort Smith, Arkansas, born in Franklin, Arkansas, who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Overton Bettis "O. B." and Ruby J. Hargrove (Shelby); and her brother Bettis Hargrove (Pat). She is survived by: her significant other Jack Lasey; her children, Jack Terrell Lasey (Sandy) and Ruby Janet Bassham (David); her grandchildren, Shelby Grubbs (Daniel), Lacy Cook (Justin), Jay Lasey (Chelsea) and Mallory Smith (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Ali Parsons, Makayla Baker (Drew), Blake Grubbs (Sarah), Kyah Grubbs, Stella, Paige Lasey, Ruby, Hudson Cook, Ollie and Samuel Smith; and her great great grandchildren, Nolan, Quinn Parsons, Beckett and Lylah Grubbs.
Margrett worked for Dixie Cup and J. C. Penney, and up until the COVID pandemic, Margrett regularly attended water aerobic classes at Marvin Altman Fitness Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margrett's memory to St. Paul United Methodist Church (4100 Grand Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72904).
