Lona Weisenfels Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lona Weisenfels of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on April 5, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Knittig and Mary Knittig; and her husband Augustine "Gus" Weisenfels. She is survived by: her children, Carol Zellner (Joe) of Bartlett, TN, Patty Pair (Deacon Greg) of Fort Smith, Martha Hicks (Mike) of Fort Smith, Jim Weisenfels (Judy) of Hackett, Ron Weisenfels (Judy) of Fort Smith and Al Weisenfels (Deena) of Hackett; her brother Ed Knittig (Annette) of Fort Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Alice Knittig of Lavaca and Charles Weisenfels of Morrison's Bluff. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
