We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2022, at the age of 92, Katheryn Ellen Schaefer (Fort Smith, Arkansas), born in Brookfield, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father John Baskin; her husband Gerald M. Schaefer; her sister Dorothy Shoaf; and her grandson Eric Morrison. She is survived by: her children, Terri Hewitt (Bill) of Charleston, Becky Baird (Pete) of Little Rock, Patti Sharum (Mark) of Barling and Gerald Schaefer, II (Tammy) of Lavaca; her sister Pat Baskin of Fort Smith; and her grandchildren, Bryan Hewitt (Laura Lea) of Charleston, Jason Sharum (Angie) of Fort Smith, Tricia May (Rob) of Lavaca, Amy Sharum-Morrison of Fort Smith, John Baird (Ann) of Glendale, CA, Michael Baird (Lauren) of Bryant, AR, Michael Schaefer (Justine) of Stuttgart, AR, Zackary Schaefer of Lavaca, Emerson Schaefer of Lavaca and Kynlee Schaefer of Lavaca. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
