With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Lane of Fort Smith, Arkansas, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2023 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Lane to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert and Leora Smith Lane; and his sister Patricia Wheaton (Hal) of Ohio. He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his children, Kelly Gates (David) of Wilmington, Delaware, Jay, Lane (Christie) of Melbourne, Florida and Tracy Beavers (Jon); his grandchildren, Weston Lane (Skyler), Andrew Gates (Hannah), Matthew Gates (Mackenzie), Emily Sparkman and Jackson Sparkman; and his sisters, Virginia O'Brien of Illinois, Kaye Gilmour (Peter) of Ohio and Kim Hayden (Ron) of Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
