He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Evans and Juanita Evans (Peck); his brother-in-law Mack Cothren; his granddaughter Meagan Scantling; and also, Shirley Goforth (Bennie), Mary Ruth Farrar (Sonny), Linda Barnes (Leon) and Cary Cannon.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanie Cunningham of Fort Smith; his children, Dave Evans (LaDonna) of Dardanelle and Karen Moore (Mike) of Ozark; his siblings, Mike Evans (Jerry) of Fort Smith and Shirley Cothren of Fort Smith; his grandchildren, Paige Provost, Ryan Scantling (Allie), Allie Dixon (Miller) and Jessie Whitten; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Abbott, Jaxson and Rhen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations in memory of Jim would be made to a church of your choice.
