Jean Pence Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Pence (Fort Smith, Arkansas), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 22, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Col. Walter J. Burk and Kathryn Burk; her sister Judith Trotter; and her nephew Trevor Trotter. She is survived by: her husband Floyd Pence, Sr.; her brother Walter J. Burk, II; her daughter Aimee Minick Furness (Greg Furness) of Dallas, Texas; her grandson Matthew Furness; her nephew Travis Trotter; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Alister and Oliver of Phoenix, Arizona; her stepsons, Floyd R. Pence, Jr., Kevin Pence and Douglas Pence; her grandchildren, Caitlin Wiley, Brittany Pence, Destiny Pence, Sierra Pence and Hunter Pence; and also Elizabeth Trotter.

While she did not contract COVID, that tragedy stole the freedom of the last year and a half of her life.
