With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Hobbs Powell of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on May 20, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Hobbs and Mabel Hobbs of Fort Smith; her former husband Charles David Curry, Sr.; her husband Robert Morgan Powell; and her daughter Maud Powell Mulvany.

She is survived by: her children, Janice and Charles David Curry, Jr. (Annette) of Tavernier; her stepson Colby Lane Curry (Kayla); her stepgrandchild Emery Lane Curry of Fort Smith; her stepchild Chesley Afton Curry; her stepgrandchildren, Lilly, Olivia of Fayetteville, Evelyn Curry Izaguirre (Phil) of Fayetteville, Sky Moore (Dylan) and Hunter Slate of Tavernier, Florida; her children, Dwight Hobbs Curry of Fort Smith and Lynn Curry Gilliland (Clay); her grandchildren, Robert David Weidman, Matthew Raynor Weidman of Fort Smith, Taylor Campbell Butler (Aaron) of Little Rock and Carolyn Powell Hartley (Ken); her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Powell Hartley and Kelso Wayne Hartley of Dallas, Texas; her grandson Robert Booth Ramsay (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Olive Jane Ramsay and James Webb Ramsay of Woodland Hills; her grandchildren, Sara Morgan Ramsay of San Diego, Allison Ainsley Ramsay of San Mateo, California and Annie Powell Hendricks (Andy) of Fort Smith; her great grandchildren, Emma Maud Holden (Grant), Rachel McClain Hendricks and Andrew Powell Hendricks of Fayetteville; and also, Addyson of Islamorada and Sally Redding Holden.
