He is survived by: his children, Tasha North (Lamont Castleberry), Stacy North, James Jr. "Bubba" North, Tyler Cook, Andrew North and Jessie Childers; and his sister Kay Lawley. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
