He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Van Tran and Sao Thi Nguyen; and his brother Hoang Van Tran. He is survived by: his wife Nhi Tran; his children, Kim, David, Kevin and Kaitlyn Tran; and his grandchildren, Peyton, Audrielle and Kendall Tran.
