He was predeceased by: his parents, Berneder Lee, (McKesson) and Floyd Lee, Sr.; his grandson-in-law Johathan "Opie" Maxwell; and his siblings, Bobbie Guillory, Elizabeth Pickens, Floyd Lee, Jr., Albert Lee, James Lee and Robert Lee.

He is survived by: his wife Emma Lee (Clayton); his children, JoAnna Whitfield (William), Wayne and Rondell Lee; his grandchildren, LaToya Maxwell, William Whitfield, II (Ashley) and McKinley Whitfield (Cenia); his great grandchildren, MaAliyah Whitfield, Justyce Maxwell, Luka Whitfield and Milo Whitfield; and his nieces, Coletta Russell, Brenda Montgomery and Delores Steele. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins.
