He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Yates; his brother Jesse Coy Yates; and his brother-in-law Elmer "Pete" Parker. He is survived by: his children, Rick Yates (Sharon) of Van Buren, Bryant Yates (Rachel) of Greenwood and Vicki Gilbert (Amanda Calloway) of Greenwood; his sister Faye Parker of Arkoma, Oklahoma; and his sister-in-law Margaret Yates of Apple Valley. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
