He is survived by: his spouse Jerlean Armer; his children, Yvonne Ulmer (Garry) of Muldrow, Amy Armer of Roland, Karla Martin of Muldrow and Rick Armer (Rebekah) of Muldrow; and his siblings, Melvena Thurman of Rock Island, Lula Bates of Mena, Oleta Armer of Roland, Lessie Rogers of Alma, Tressie Long of Sallisaw, Lola Matthews of Van Buren and James Armer of Muldrow. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
