He is survived by: his children, James Hays, Sr. (Wanda) of Mansfield, Jesse Hays (Pam) of Warren, Texas, Rhonda Fawcett (Robin) of Fort Smith, Diann Degeus (Jaap) of Dobin, Holland, Helen Christine Reyna of Needville and Amanda Gibson (James) of Needville, Texas; his mother Juanita Bertram Van Cleve of Damon, Texas; and his siblings, Daniel Hardcastle of New Mexico and Karen Clement of Damen. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
