It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel M Fender of Fort Smith, Arkansas, born in Canajoharie, New York, who passed away on October 18, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Roland Aird; her daughters, Sheila Fender (Mark) and Rebecca Aird (Dale Rasmussen); her stepson Mark Fender (Sheila); her sisters, Jeanette Van Alstine (Trumble), Dorothea Sullivan (Trumble) and Alice Domion (Trumble); her grandchildren, Charlie Phelan (Tonya), Brandi McLennan (Shawn), Michael Phelan (Shawna), Tisha Rowley (Jeff), Tasha Traylor (Greg) and Heather London; her son Rodney Aird; her parents, Horatio Trumble and Reba Trumble; her siblings, William, Charles Trumble, Maxine Ambridge (Trumble), Jane Ripple (Trumble), Ruth Muhlebeck (Trumble) and Betty Jean Trumble; and her niece Marie Baldwin (Prime). She was also cherished by 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Ethel Fender to one of the following; South Minden Fire Department at 1029 Hwy 163 Ft Plain NY 13339, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Arkansas Children's Hospital NWA and the ALS Foundation (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
