He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Kaempfe of Charleston, Brandon Cox of Fort Smith, Tyler Cox of Charleston, James Cox of Muldrow and Andrew Cox of Fort Smith; his close friend Elisa Baskin of Fort Smith; and his siblings, Tommy Cox of Ohio, Douglas Cox of Spiro, James Ray Cox of Bokoshe, Matthew Cox of Bokoshe, Neal Cox of Alma, Ruby Dean of Muldrow and Melinda "Punkin" Coker of Bokoshe. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
