He was predeceased by: his parents, Socorro Espinosa and Elida Gomez Espinosa; and his daughters, Elida Jane, Faith and Hope.

He is survived by: his wife Allison Espinosa (Bruning); his siblings, Lupe Espinosa of Texas, Carmen Espinosa of Texas and Robert Gomez Espinosa of Texas; and his niece Maria Girolamo of Kansas.
