Danny Lee Burris Obituary
Danny Lee Burris AKA “Papa Candy” of Fort Smith, AR passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2022 at the age of 68 and was reunited in heaven with his momma Mildred Fairrell and sister Susan Hampton. He was survived by his Son Steven Burris, Daughter Susie Nolte, Son-in-law Jay Nolte, 5 grandchildren-Kyle Nolte, Skylor Burris, Cole Burris, Kadynce Asbury, and Daniel Nolte, 3 sisters-Linda Hightower, Laura Thrailkill, Tammy Christy, a brother Paul Fairrell and lots of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Danny was a unique, one of a kind person with a huge heart who spent his whole life trying to help everyone solve problems whether they were personal, medical, or mechanical. He would never give up on anyone or anything and had a heart as pure as gold. He was the most inventive person you could ever meet, and he taught the people around him to also never give up. He always believed there is a way to fix anything even if you do not have the right tools or materials. He was a genius in disguise and never ceased to amaze the people around him with his ingenuity. He was as tough as nails mentally and physically. Through thick and thin, he has always been a positive role model trying to push everyone to be the best they can be.
He loved being in nature, going for a cruise in the country, spoiling his loved ones with ice cream and candy, telling the most fascinating stories, and enjoying some good ole rock “n” roll. There aren’t enough pages in a library to summarize all the wonderful things he has done, awesome places he has been, and creative ways he has fixed things in his life.
He was a person who would stop whatever he was doing to help someone in trouble or to spontaneously go chasing the end of a rainbow with his family. The stories he’s told and his “never give up” attitude will live on and continue to spread forever. We are so proud of you! You are a hero who always kept hopes and dreams alive! Keep chasing rainbows and fly like an eagle!
Family and Friends are invited to celebrate his life at Jack’s Creek Recreational Area (Jack Creek Rd, Booneville, AR 72927) Saturday, November 26th at 1:00 PM. Lunch will be provided. You can Facebook message Susie Nolte if needed.
