He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Nelson and Louise Nelson (Link); his brothers, John Nelson and Dave Nelson; and his brother-in-law Frank Gibbons.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Nelson; his children, Chayla Witherspoon (Reed) and Connor Nelson (Bryanna) of Springdale, AR; his nephew Ryan McMahan (Alicen); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Layton (Team Artsy-Fartsy) and Kylan of Lee's Summit, MO; his siblings, Linda Gibbons, Suzie Boyer, Ron Nelson (Talana) of Mansfield, AR, Sandy Hanis (Bob) of Portland, OR and Barb Nelson of Irving, TX; his parents-in-law, Richard McMahan of Barling, AR and June Lewis of Fort Smith, AR; his siblings-in-law, Carol Reano (Mike) of Dayton, AR and Rich McMahan (Stacy) of Lavaca, AR; and his pets, Luna Nelson and Thor Witherspoon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, great- nieces, and nephews.
