He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Richard Reed and Laura Reed; and his siblings, Elson, Elma Hensley, Lucille McEntire and Vera Mae Hinkle.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Reed of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and his children, David Reed of San Diego and Donna Reed of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
