He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Clyde Chaney Sr. and Rena Chaney (Durbin); his wife Betty; his children, Wendy Walter and Mark Chaney; and his grandson Jason Luper.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cyndy Ward and Tammy Stahl (Wayne); and his grandchildren, Bubba Brown, Marty Brown (Marlena), Chris Brown (Cristi), Buffy Walter (Kevin Strobel), Daniel Stahl (Sherry), Kaasha Hassel (Gidget Pambianchi), Krista Stockton (John), Aaron Jay (Kristin Ford-Jay) and Rachelle Moratti (Dominic). He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
