He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Turnipseed and Nellie Turnipseed (Hampton); his son Todd Harmon; and his siblings, Robert Turnipseed, Dorothy Nilz, Jean Ingram and Donna Hill.

He is survived by: his wife Billie Jean; his children, Kathy Baumann (Mark) of St. Louis and Stan Turnipseed of Ft. Smith; and his grandchildren, Lacey Mensing, Maggie Saffle, Noah Harmon, Steven Beam, Jr., Joshua Beam, Brandy Ree, Kyle Beam, Cody and Keith Turnipseed.
