It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Boyd Hearn of Fort Smith, Arkansas, born in Bristow, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Hearn and Mary Dalton Hearn; his wives, Merle Hearn and Ann Melton Hearn; his children, Charles Bryan Hearn and Dawn L. Burns; his granddaughter Miranda Meade; and his siblings, Kendrick, David Hearn, Ellen Ione Spearman Elmore and Mary Luan Moore.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Sarah Whittaker (Justin) of Greenwood and Mary Mareina (Robert) of Hillsboro, OR; his stepdaughter Dr. Martha Colvin (Ronny) of Chattanooga, TN; his grandchildren, Wes Kelley (Averie), Lauren Nguyen (Josh), Blake Alton, Hailey Whittaker and Ryan Whittaker; his son-in-law Peter Burns of Beaverton, OR; his stepdaughters, Carol Valley (Pat) of Fort Smith, Nancy Chance (Alton) of Natchez, MS and MSand; and his brother Jerry Hearn of Bryant, AR. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren.
