It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlene Rose (Payne) Spencer (Fort Smith, Arkansas), born in Augusta, Arkansas, who passed away on November 11, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nell Shipman Stewart and Charles L. Payne; her husband K. G. Spencer (Pete); and her brothers, Carl Payne, Ray Payne and Dan Payne.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Hampton of Clarksville, AR and Charlotte Alumbaugh (Wayne) of Fort Worth, TX; and her grandchildren, Kelly Elam (Daniel), Michael Ann Reames (Jason) and Justin Hampton (Taylor). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
