She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Eugene and Addie Lea Vines (Taylor); her husbands, Robert Lee Simpkins and Walter C. Stroud; and her daughter Diane Barker.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Waggoner (Boyd) of Fort Smith, Karen Gordon (Rick) of Sheboygan, WI and Ron Simpkins (Mary) of Van Buren, AR; and her grandchildren, Alicia, Addie Wilson, Matthew Barker (Robyn), Sarah Harris (Kevin), Katherine, Christina, Robert Oliver (Tori) and Jacob Waggoner.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ocker Putman Funeral Home (4500 Jenny Lind Rd, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Temple Baptist Church (5100 S 31st St, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
