He is survived by: his children, William Calvin Short Jr. (Tammy) of Palestine, Charles Edward Short of Forrest City, Arkansas and Brittany Lawson (Roger) of Wynne; his stepdaughter Melissa Waldell (Gary) of Forrest City, Arkansas; his sister Judy Melton (Rayburn) of Forrest City, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Roger Lawson III, Riley Lawson, Autumn Grace Lawson, Savannah Colvin, Tyler Waldell, Timothy Chapman, Jamison Bowen and McKenzie Staggs; and his great grandchild Hayley Colvin.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Hughes Cemetery (2258 Sfc 311, Forrest City, AR 72335).
