Joyce Jones Long Obituary

Joyce Jones Long, age 87, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at her home in Forrest City. She had been in poor health for the past several months.

Mrs. Long was born July 6, 1934, in Palestine, and was the daughter of Paul Jones and Blanche Bray Jones. She lived in St. Francis County all of her life, was a real estate broker and owner of Thomas Long Real Estate, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Long married Thomas L. Long in 1952, and he preceded her in death in 1997. She is survived by one son, Kenne Long, and wife, Patti, of Forrest City, two daughters; Debbie Jackson, and husband, Roy, and Lisa Drake, and husband, Bill, all of Forrest City, eight grandchildren; Casey Quattlebaum, and husband, Patrick, Cory Jackson, and wife, Cody, Jason Long, and wife, Renee, Joshua Long, and wife, Ashley, Thomas J. Drake, Jessica Thomason, and husband, Garrett, Scarlett McMunn, and husband, Josh, and Douglas Drake, and wife, Breonna, eighteen great- grandchildren; Jackson Quattlebaum, and wife, Morgan, Braden Quattlebaum, Sophia Quattlebaum, Chara Quattlebaum, Reid Jackson, Molly Jackson, Korey Williamson, Kason Long, Keaton Long, Colton Long, Hannah Derrick, William Drake, Derrick Drake, Sally Coleman, Gwendoyn Thomason, Nash Thomason, Stella Raye McMunn, and Sutton McMunn, one brother, Jack Jones of Palestine, and three sisters; Lou (Good Gal) Fuller of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Shirley Carriger of Forrest City, and Sandy Hembree of Hot Springs. She had two grandchildren; Christopher Jackson and Misty Jackson, two brothers; Mike Jones and Donnie Jones, and two sisters; Goldie Dickerson and Darlene Long, who all preceded her in death.

A Graveside service will be held at the Bell Cemetery in Palestine, 2:00 P.M., Friday. Visitation will be at Stevens Funeral Home, beginning 1:00 P.M. Friday. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
