It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Era McConnon of Forrest City, Arkansas, born in Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Ervin and Gertrude Goodman (Ellis); her husband James McConnon, Sr.; her son James McConnon, Jr.; and her sons-in-law, Bill Luker and Paul Rains, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Raymond McConnon (Sonya) of Allendale, Leslie Anderson (Susan) of Little Rock, Eva Ellis (Joe) of Wynne, Mary Luker of Colt, Lorrie McConnon of Forrest City and Kathy Rains of Forrest City; and her siblings, Ervin Goodman of Pine Prairie, Louisiana, Becky Deville of Pine Prairie, Callie Deville of Pine Prairie, Kathrine Mouiller (Littell) of Mamou and Betty Deville-Wood of Pine Prairie, Louisiana. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
