He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Byrd and Irene Presley Byrd; his wife Joyce Byrd; and his son Billy Byrd. He is survived by: his children, Donnie Byrd Jr. of Forrest City, Arkansas and Karen Byrd Goza (Sam) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Joshua Brewer (Heather), Katelyn Brewer, Caden Brown, Hunter Brown, Ava Goza, James Byrd and Judy Byrd.
