He was predeceased by: his parents, Abron Pitts, Sr. and Carrie Hill Pitts; and his brother George Danner. He is survived by: his wife Versie Jones Pitts; his children, Aaron Thoman of Meridian, MS, Andre Pitts of Widener, AR, Don Pitts of Widener, AR, Deadrick Pitts of Memphis, TN, Syreeta Pitts of Forrest City, AR, Kelly McShan of Jonesboro, AR and Melinda Davis of Jonesboro, AR; and his siblings, Aaron Stewart of Forrest City, AR, Curtis Stewart of Forrest City, AR, Earlene Brown of Widener, AR, Nita Burgess of Widener, AR, Josephine Moore of West Memphis, AR, Pauline Stewart of Arlington, TN and Gloria Bobo of Caldwell, AR. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
