She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Melvin Childers and Ollie Mae Strickland Childers; her husband Marion Thornton; and her siblings, Hollis Childers, Grady Childers and Nell Robbins.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. Jerry Cook of Fordyce, Terri Lasiter (Mark) of Jasper, GA, Paula Cook of Fordyce and Connie Cox (Fred) of Virginia Beach, VA; her brother Paul Childers of Minden, LA; her grandchildren, Cody Daley of Richmond, VA, Kalie Lasiter of Atlanta, GA and Peyton Lasiter of Philadelphia, PA; and her great grandchildren, Liam, McKenna and Landon Daley.
