He was predeceased by: his parent Gurvis L. Johnson; his wife Jean Atkins Johnson; his grandson Joshua Johnson; his son Glenn Ballard; his daughter-in-law Reba Ballard; and his brother Gurvis L. Johnson Jr..
He is survived by: his nephew Kent Johnson; his son Kent Johnson (Terri) of Fordyce; his siblings, John Johnson (Wilma) of Fordyce and Alice Jordan of Monticello; his grandchildren, Kayla Griffin (Tyler) of Monticello and Hunter Johnson (Avery) of Monticello; his granddaughter-in-law Lindsey Strickland of Monticello; his great grandchildren, Hunter Griffin, Anna Kate Ross, Jacks Johnson, Max Johnson, Jace Griffin, Natalie Griffin, Piper Johnson and Kolbie Johnson; and his mother Whitney Howard (Pilot Johnson).
