With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Alice Manning Garlington of Fordyce, Arkansas, born in Sparkman, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 25, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Manning and Linnie Ritter Manning; her husband Homer Garlington; and her siblings, O'Ferrel Manning of Max Manning, J. B and Ila Mae Garlington.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Garlington (Kay) of Ivan, Larry Garlington (Donna) of Ivan and Angela Smith (Darrin) of Fort Smith; her brothers, Donald Manning of Pierce City, MO and Murphy Manning of Sparkman; and her grandchildren, Jenny Smead (Captain) of Hope, Lindsey Flemming (Eric) of Fordyce, Leigha Workman (Chris) of Fordyce, Abby Sims (Donaven) of Bryant, Amy Neathery (Michael) of Bryant, Brady Smith of Fort Smith and Madison Smith of Fort Smith. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church (206 Graham St, Fordyce, AR 71742). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
