He was predeceased by: his parents, Rayford Matkin and Vella Pennington Matkin; his daughter Kathy Matkin; and his sisters, Myrtle Borell and Alice Faye Riegel.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Matkin of Fordyce, AR; his children, Ronald Clark Matkin (Susie) of Fordyce, AR, Kenneth Matkin and Angel Matkin of Fordyce, AR; his brother Don of Fordyce, AR; his grandchildren, Krystal Avant of Hampton, AR, Clark Matkin of Fordyce, AR and Clara Matkin of Fordyce, AR; and his great grandchildren, Rylee Oliver of Hampton, AR and Kylee Avant of Hampton, AR..
