It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Smith of Fordyce, Arkansas, born in Hampton, Arkansas, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Gilbert and Gladys Cochran Gilbert; and her siblings, Jean Mullegan, Jerry Gilbert and Donnie Gilbert.
She is survived by: her husband Everett Smith; her children, Donyell Byrd of Fayetteville, Nikki Clemons (Johnny) of Hampton, Cindy Herrington (Huey) of Sardis, MS., Jaime West (Shane) of Fordyce and Brandon Byrd (Angel) of Hampton; and her brother Joe Gilbert (Cindy) of Bearden. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
