He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Phillips and Millie Phillips (Pense); and his siblings, Donnie Phillips, Bob Phillips and Margie Phillips.

He is survived by: his wife Violet Phillips; his sons, Roy Phillips (Lorrie) and Clinton Phillips (Dianna); and his siblings, Gary Phillips, Dwight Phillips, Junior Phillips, Debbie Hudson (Carroll) and Sue Vickery. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
