It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Carney of Fayetteville, Arkansas, born in Camden, Arkansas, who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virnette Davison Holt and John Larkin Holt; her brother John Larkin; and her husband JW. She is survived by: her children, John Carney (Leslie) of Cabot, Elaine Goad (Randy) of Fayetteville, Dr. Steve Carney MD (Carol) of Van Buren and Dr. Chuck Carney; her grandchildren, Dr. Emily Goad, John Goad, James Carney, Rebekah Carney Riba, Rob Carney, Jennifer Carney Burch, Claire Carney Slaughter and Caroline Carney; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Elaina, Addie, Ben Riba, Theo Slaughter and Elizabeth Louise Carney.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (217 Main St, Newport, AR 72112). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
