She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Willie Thomas and Ida Crisp Thomas; her children, Martha Mellissa Stevens and Jerry Wayne Ray; her husband Everette Barton; and her children, Virginia May Pavan (Ben) of Muskogee, Renee Marie Jackson of Fayetteville, Angie Hollifield of Muskogee, Laura Webb of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Raymond Carl Barton (Kathy) of Bella Vista and James Everette Barton (Arlene) of Nob Hill. She was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
