He is survived by: his wife Thelma; his children, Mary Anne Tarver of Fayetteville and Vernon Tarver, Jr.; his grandson Jackson of Springdale; his brothers-in-law, Arthur Weeden and Clifford Mosier (Bobbie); his nieces and nephews, John (Lyle), Carl (Cortney), Billy (Brenda), Jerry, Amy, Mary Cullen (Chris), Patty and Kristine; and his brother Band.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Vernon's name to Fayetteville Meals on Wheels or WRMC Willard Walker Hospice Home.
