He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Grace and Maxey Lee Grace; and his grandparents, William T. and Gladys Tarkington. He is survived by: his daughter Drew Sikes; his son-in-law Matt Sikes; his grandchildren, Ethan of Houston Texas, Koen of Houston Texas and McLaren Sikes of Houston Texas; his sister Jonelle Grace Lipscomb; his brother-in-law Bryant of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his half-sisters, Sharon Jones (Kenny) of Cypress and Kathleen Rowland of Snohomish, Washington; and his stepsiblings, Karen Strickland, Don Conrad, Ron Conrad and Darrell Conrad. He is also survived by husbands and wives and eleven nieces and nephews.

He initiated the Homeless Program for the Fayetteville School District by spending a frigid night in a box outside the school as people arrived with cash and food donations.
