Ruth Mitchell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Mitchell of Fayetteville, Arkansas, born in Wynona, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt "Bud" Young and Okle Erp Young; her husband Joseph Robert Mitchell; her great grandchild Titus Grigg; and her siblings, Marshall Young, Christine Bridges, Paulene Bridges, Bobbie Pierson and Mary Brice.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gean Munger (Dave) of Loveland, Judy Stone of Fayetteville and Joann Mitchell (Terry) of Centerton, Arkansas; and her sister Rosie Hall of Lubbock, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great grandchild; along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home - Springdale (2230 N Thompson St, Springdale, AR 72764). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Barron Cemetery (11847 SW Opal Rd, Bentonville, AR 72712).
