With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis M. Wirt of Fayetteville, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Phyllis left this world on February 22, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Pries and Lucy Pries; her husband Royal Wirt; her daughter Vicki Nanos; and her siblings, Shirley Jones, Naomi Anderson, Mary Sousa and David Pries.
She is survived by: her brother Michael Pries (Ethel) of Illinois; and her daughters, Linda Chada (Doug), Sharon Schmitz of Fayetteville and Peggy Alexander (Steve) of Orange, California. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moore's Chapel Funeral Home (206 W Center St, Fayetteville, AR 72701). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Savoy Extension Homemakers Club, the Willard Walker Hospice Home or the Howe Savoy Bible Church.
