She is survived by: her sons, Villareal Nika West (Erin) of Springdale, AR and James Thomas Franks of Dillsboro, NC; her brothers, Robert Garland of Waynesville, NC, Ken Garland of Sylva, NC and Jim Garland (Charlene) of Brevard, NC; and her pet Callie. She is also survived by four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
