She was predeceased by: her parents, George Merton Raines and Dorothy LaFaye Williams Raines; her husband David Carter; her son James Barie Carter; her siblings, Shirley Bradstreet and Gerald Raines; her son-in-law Trent Trumbo; and her great grandchild Trevor Trumbo.
She is survived by: her children, Amber Gaskill (David) of Fayetteville, Jerry Carter of Fayetteville and Benjamin Carter of Juneau, Ala; her grandchildren, Matt Trumbo (Lisa), Sydney Trumbo and Alexis Trumbo; and her great grandchildren, Trenton and Hayes Trumbo.
