She was predeceased by: her parents, George Arvil McGinnis and Helena Catherine "Kate" Hammons; and her brothers, Allen McGinnis and Burl McGinnis. She is survived by: her husband Fred Dorsey; her children, Randy James, Scotty Sherman, Dixie Marie, Edward Bassett, Linda Stokes of Laughlin, NV, Brenda Pierce of Fayetteville, AR, Stanley Dorsey of Norfolk, VA and Connie Dorsey (Amy) of Vail, CO; and her stepson David Bassett of Bowling Green, FL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
